With the coming of winter, we need to address weather cancellations. If the weather is snowy, icy, or very windy, we will cancel Monday dance class. We will try to inform you as early as possible, hopefully by Sunday afternoon. Watch for notices from the website by email or possibly a text or phone call. As always, use your best judgment! If weather is bad where you are, or on the route to Enumclaw, stay home and stay safe.

PSCD will continue dancing Mondays through December 11 and then break for the holidays, resuming on Monday, January 8th, 2024.

There are several upcoming events that might be of interest:

  • Sunday, November 19th: The Tacoma Scottish Country Dance Club is hosting their 50th Anniversary Dance and Tea from 3-5pm. The location is St. Luke’s Memorial Church, 3615 North Gove St., Tacoma.
  • Saturday, December 2nd: We will be marching with the Highland Games Association in the Enumclaw Holiday Parade to promote the Highland Games. Parade begins at 6:00. We will form up at 5:30 at the north end of downtown Enumclaw. Listen for bagpipes!
  • Saturday, February 3rd: Tacoma Scots Pipe Band Annual Burns Supper will be held at the Tacoma Sportsman’s Club at 16409 Canyon Rd E, Puyallup. More details to come.

Come join us at Monday night dance classes or these special events, and have a great winter season!

On Monday, October 2nd we will be resuming dance class at the Danish Hall in Enumclaw. Weekly classes are from 7-9 p.m. at 1708 Porter Street.

We are still somewhat concerned about the possibility of COVID transmission. Please postpone attendance if you are experiencing symptoms or think you may have been exposed.

Dances are taught according to the skill level of those attending, so beginners are always welcome! No partner is necessary, and sessions are $5 per person.

Don’t forget your ghillies or flexible soft-soled shoes. See you there!
